Berlin - ENGIE Deutschland GmbH is one of the world's pioneers in the field of "electrical, sanitary and other construction installation activities". This is the result of the CSR rating of the internationally recognized sustainability rating platform EcoVadis. The evaluation will incorporate the results of extensive analyses in the four categories "Environment", "Labor and Human Rights", "Ethics" and "Sustainable Procurement". In all areas, ENGIE Deutschland was – in some cases far – above the industry average. With a total of 69 points, the specialist for technology, energy and service is one of the top five percent of all companies in the comparison group and thus achieves the highest "Gold" award in the audit - and this for the second year in a row.
Sustainable management from conviction
In doing so, ENGIE Deutschland has improved upon its sustainability performance compared to the previous year, as Dr. Karl-Peter Thelen, Head of Energy Policy and CSR at ENGIE Deutschland, explains: "The topic of CSR is at the top of the agenda at ENGIE Deutschland. That is why we are proud that our measures for the sustainable design and optimization of the processes are effective." This high priority of CSR is illustrated by the mission "Zero Carbon Transition as a Service", which is being pursued by the French ENGIE Group, the parent company of ENGIE Deutschland. "The most important strategic goal is to support our customers with low-carbon2 technologies and services to optimize their CO2 balance," says Dr. Karl-Peter Thelen. "The EcoVadis Gold Award recognizes our work and serves as an incentive to further expand our commitment to sustainability."
