Cologne - The energy transition is progressing rapidly and brings with it highly complex market requirements. At the same time, ESG (Environmental, Social and Governance) and regulatory pressure such as the CSRD (Corporate Sustainability Reporting Directive) require new, future-oriented action strategies from the real estate sector and industry. ENGIE Deutschland is supporting customers on the challenging path to decarbonization with tailor-made and sustainable solutions - and is thus further advancing the global mission of the ENGIE Group in the German market. In order to further accelerate the path to "Real Zero", the company has been bundling the sustainability expertise in its Energy & Facility Solutions division in the new Sustainable Solutions division since January 1, 2024. Dave Gebauer, who previously spent three years as Regional Head of Facility Solutions for the North-East region, will take over the management of the division from March 1, 2024. He reports to the Head of Division Norbert Speckmann. Dave Gebauer emphasizes:
„I am looking forward to my new role and to creating future-proof prospects for genuine climate neutrality. In my role as regional division manager, I have already worked intensively as part of a team on sustainable solutions for the energy transition. I will continue and further strengthen this commitment together with the employees of Sustainable Solutions.“
The newly established Sustainable Transformation department, headed by Torsten Betz, Head of Sustainable Transformation at ENGIE Deutschland, will be the driving force behind the sustainable transformation of all ENGIE Deutschland customers. This department will expand the existing ESG consulting services and mobilize all competencies and solutions in the Energy & Facility Solutions business unit for customer projects. Solarimo will contribute additional expertise in the field of renewable energies. The subsidiary of ENGIE Deutschland, which has been implementing photovoltaic solutions for housing associations, public clients as well as commercial and industrial customers since 2018, has now been integrated into the new specialist area. At Solarimo, Dave Gebauer forms the new management duo together with Anja Burde, who has been managing the photovoltaic service provider for more than two years. Norbert Speckmann, who was previously responsible for Solarimo's business activities with Anja Burde, is convinced of the dual leadership and the overarching specialist area: "With Sustainable Solutions, we are responding to a dynamic market environment with combined expertise and concentrated competence. This will make it even easier for us at ENGIE Deutschland to master the challenges of our customers with tailor-made strategies in the future and thus help shape the markets of tomorrow successfully and sustainably today."
